Et pour eux la parole de l’Éternel sera Précepte sur précepte, précepte sur précepte, Règle sur règle, règle sur règle, Un peu ici, un peu là, Afin qu’en marchant ils tombent à la renverse et se brisent, Afin qu’ils soient enlacés et pris.

But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
