Han sträcker (sträckte) ut sina händer (ordagrant: sin hand) i dess [gödselpölens] mitt, som simmaren sträcker ut sina händer för att simma, och hans stolthet dras (drogs) ner [Herren kväste och sänkte hans stolthet] tillsammans med hans händers [alla] konster (spratt; påfund och fula knep).
