ખાલદીઓના દેશને જુઓ. તે પ્રજા નહોતી; આશ્શૂરે તેને જંગલી પ્રાણીઓને માટે અરણ્ય બનાવ્યું છે: તેઓએ તેના બુરજો ઊભા કર્યા, તેઓએ એના મહેલોને જમીનદોસ્ત કર્યા; તેણે તેને ઉજ્જડ કરી નાખ્યો.

Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, till the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces thereof; and he brought it to ruin.
