Hosea 9:10

Als druiven in de woestijn vond Ik Israël; als vroege vijgen, als eerste opbrengst aan de vijgeboom, zag Ik uw vaderen. Zij echter gingen naar Baäl-Peor en wijdden zich aan de schandgod; daardoor werden zij even gruwelijk als het voorwerp van hun liefde.

I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baal-peor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.
