જ્યારે હું ઇઝરાયલને સાજો કરવા ઇચ્છતો હતો, ત્યારે એફ્રાઇમનાં પાપ, સમરુનનાં દુષ્ટ કૃત્યો પ્રગટ થયાં. કેમ કે તેઓ દગો કરે છે, ચોર અંદર ઘૂસીને, શેરીઓમાં લૂંટફાટ ચલાવે છે.

When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.
