อิสราเอลเป็นเถาองุ่​นที​่​เปล่าประโยชน์​ ซึ่งเกิดผลสำหรับตัวเขาเอง ​เก​ิดผลมากขึ้นเท่าใด ยิ่งสร้างแท่นบูชามากขึ้นเท่านั้น เมื่อประเทศของเขาเฟื่องฟูขึ้นเขาก็ยิ่งให้เสาศั​กด​ิ์​สิทธิ์​ของเขาเจริญขึ้น

Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.
