ഹോശേയ 10:1

യിസ്രായേൽ പടർന്നിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു മുന്തിരിവള്ളി ആകുന്നു; അവൻ ഫലം കായിക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ ഫലത്തിന്റെ ബഹുത്വത്തിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം അവൻ ബലിപീഠങ്ങളെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു; തന്റെ ദേശത്തിന്റെ നന്മെക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം അവൻ ഭംഗിയുള്ള വിഗ്രഹസ്തംഭങ്ങളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.
