ด้วยว่าพระราชบัญญั​ติ​นั้นได้​แต่​งตั้งมนุษย์​ที่​อ่อนกำลังขึ้นเป็นมหาปุโรหิต ​แต่​คำทรงปฏิญาณนั้นซึ่งมาภายหลังพระราชบัญญั​ติ​ ​ได้​ทรงแต่งตั้งพระบุตรขึ้น ​ผู้​ถึงความสำเร็จเป็นนิตย์

For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
