ధర్మశాస్త్రం బలహీనతలున్న వారిని ముఖ్య యాజకులుగా నియమిస్తుంది. కాని ధర్మశాస్త్రం తరువాత వచ్చిన ప్రమాణ వాక్కు కుమారుణ్ణి ప్రధాన యాజకుడిగా నియమించింది. ఈయన శాశ్వతకాలం నిలిచే పరిపూర్ణత పొందినవాడు.

For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
