విశ్రాంతిని గూర్చిన సువార్త ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు ప్రకటించినట్టే మనకూ ప్రకటించడం జరిగింది. కానీ విన్న దానికి తమ విశ్వాసం జోడించని వారికి ఆ ప్రకటన వ్యర్ధమై పోయింది.

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
