​เหตุ​ฉะนั้​นคร​ั้นบุตรทั้งหลายมีส่วนในเนื้อและเลือดอยู่​แล้ว​ ​พระองค์​​ก็ได้​ทรงรับเนื้อและเลือดเหมือนกัน เพื่อโดยความตายพระองค์จะได้ทรงทำลายผู้นั้​นที​่​มี​อำนาจแห่งความตาย คือพญามาร

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
