విశ్వాసాన్ని బట్టి అతడు పస్కా, రక్త ప్రోక్షణ ఆచరించాడు. దానివలన ప్రథమ సంతానాన్ని హతమార్చడానికి బయల్దేరిన వినాశకుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల ప్రథమ సంతానాన్ని ముట్టుకోలేదు.
