Myös Mooseksen vanhemmilla oli uskoa. Faarao oli käskenyt tappaa israelilaisten lapset. Kun Mooseksen isä ja äiti näkivät, että Jumala oli antanut heille suloisen lapsen, he uskoivat, että Jumala pelastaisi pojan ja pitivät häntä pelkäämättä piilossa kolme kuukautta.
