उत्पत्ति 7:2

सब जाति के शुद्ध पशुओं में से तो तू सात-सात जोड़े, अर्थात् नर और मादा लेना: पर जो पशु शुद्ध नहीं हैं, उनमें से दो-दो लेना, अर्थात् नर और मादा:

Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
