พระเจ้าตรัสแก่โนอาห์​ว่า​ “ต่อหน้าเราบรรดาเนื้อหนั​งก​็มาถึงวาระสุดท้ายแล้ว เพราะว่าแผ่นดินโลกเต็มไปด้วยความอำมหิตเพราะพวกเขา และดู​เถิด​ เราจะทำลายพวกเขาพร้อมกับแผ่นดินโลก

And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
