Đức Giê-hô-va phán rằng: Bởi cớ ấy, nếu ai giết Ca-in, thì sẽ bị báo thù bảy lần. Đức Giê-hô-va bèn đánh dấu trên mình Ca-in, hầu cho ai gặp Ca-in thì chẳng giết.
