เมื่อยาโคบสั่​งบ​ุตรชายของตนเสร็จแล้ว ​ก็​ยกเท้าขึ้นบนที่​นอน​ ​แล้วก็​​สิ้นลมหายใจ​ และถูกรวบรวมไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษของท่าน
