ઉત્પત્તિ 46:34

ત્યારે તમારે આ પ્રમાણે કહેવું, ‘તારા ચાકરોનો એટલે અમારો તથા અમારા પિતૃઓનો વ્યવસાય નાનપણથી તે અત્યાર સુધી જાનવરો પાળવાનો છે.’ આ પ્રમાણે કહેશો એટલે તમને ગોશેન દેશમાં રહેવાની પરવાનગી મળશે. કેમ કે મિસરીઓ ભરવાડોને ધિક્કારે છે.”

That ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
