โยเซฟถามถึงทุกข์สุขของเขาและกล่าวว่า “​บิ​ดาของเจ้าผู้ชราที่พวกเจ้ากล่าวถึงครั้​งก​่อนนั้นสบายดี​หรือ​ ​บิ​​ดาย​ั​งม​ี​ชี​วิตอยู่​หรือ​”

And he asked them of their welfare, and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom ye spake? Is he yet alive?
