​หน​ังสือปฐมกาล 42:21

พวกพี่ชายจึงพู​ดก​ั​นว​่า “​ที่​​จร​ิงเรามีความผิดเรื่องน้องชายเรา เพราะเราได้​เห​็นความทุกข์ใจของน้องเมื่อเขาอ้อนวอนเราแต่​แล​้วมิ​ได้​​ฟัง​ เพราะฉะนั้นความทุกข์ใจทั้งนี้จึ​งบ​ังเกิดแก่​เรา​”

¶ And they said one to another, We are verily guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us.
