ഉല്പത്തി 42:7

യോസഫ് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ കണ്ടാറെ അവരെ അറിഞ്ഞു എങ്കിലും അറിയാത്ത ഭാവം നടിച്ചു അവരോടു കഠിനമായി സംസാരിച്ചു: നിങ്ങൾ എവിടെ നിന്നു വരുന്നു എന്നു അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: ആഹാരം കൊള്ളുവാൻ കനാൻദേശത്തു നിന്നു വരുന്നു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food.
