அது தன் கையைத் திரும்ப உள்ளே வாங்கிக்கொண்டபோது, அதின் சகோதரன் வெளிப்பட்டான். அப்பொழுது அவள்: “நீ மீறிவந்தது என்ன, இந்த மீறுதல் உன்மேல் நிற்கும்” என்றாள்; அதனால் அவனுக்குப் பாரேஸ் என்று பெயரிடப்பட்டது.

And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.
