ஊஷாம் இறந்தபின், மோவாபின் நாட்டிலே மீதியானியர்களை முறியடித்த பேதாதின் மகனாகிய ஆதாத் அவனுடைய பட்டத்திற்கு வந்தான்; அவனுடைய பட்டணத்திற்கு ஆவீத் என்று பெயர்.
