ఆదికాండం 33:17

అప్పుడు యాకోబు సుక్కోతుకు ప్రయాణమై వెళ్లి తమకొక ఇల్లు కట్టించుకుని తన పశువులకు పాకలు వేయించాడు. అందుకు ఆ చోటికి “సుక్కోతు” అనే పేరు వచ్చింది.

And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.
