นางราเชลก็​พู​​ดก​ับบิดาของตนว่า “ขอนายอย่าโกรธเลยที่ข้าพเจ้าลุกขึ้นต้อนรับไม่​ได้​ ด้วยว่าธรรมดาที่​ผู้​หญิงเคยมีกำลังเป็นอยู่กับข้าพเจ้า” ​ลาบ​ั​นก​็ค้นดู​แล้ว​ ​แต่​​ไม่​พบรูปเคารพนั้นเลย

And she said to her father, Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before thee; for the custom of women is upon me. And he searched, but found not the images.
