ઉત્પત્તિ 31:8

તેણે કહ્યું હતું કે, ‘છાંટવાળાં પશુઓ તારું વેતન થશે,’ પછી સર્વ પ્રાણીઓને છાંટવાળાં બચ્ચાં થયાં. વળી તેણે કહ્યું, પટ્ટાવાળાં પશુઓ તારું વેતન થશે અને પછી સર્વ પશુઓને પટ્ટાવાળાં બચ્ચાં જન્મ્યાં.

If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the cattle bare speckled: and if he said thus, The ringstraked shall be thy hire; then bare all the cattle ringstraked.
