ઉત્પત્તિ 31:35

તેણે તેના પિતાને કહ્યું, “મારા પિતા, ગુસ્સે ન થાઓ, કેમ કે સ્ત્રીઓની રીત પ્રમાણે મને થયું હોવાથી હું તમારી આગળ ઊઠી શકતી નથી.” આમ લાબાને શોધ કરી પણ ઘરની મૂર્તિઓ તેને મળી નહિ.

And she said to her father, Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before thee; for the custom of women is upon me. And he searched, but found not the images.
