ઉત્પત્તિ 30:6

પછી રાહેલે કહ્યું, “ઈશ્વરે મારું સાંભળ્યું છે. તેમણે નિશ્ચે મારી વિનંતી સાંભળીને મને દીકરો આપ્યો છે.” તે માટે તેણે તેનું નામ ‘દાન’ પાડ્યું.

And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.
