સાંજે યાકૂબ ખેતરમાંથી આવ્યો. લેઆ તેને મળવાને બહાર ગઈ અને કહ્યું, “આજે રાત્રે તારે મારી સાથે સહશયન કરવાનું છે. કેમ કે મારા દીકરાનાં રીંગણાં આપીને મેં આ શરત કરી છે.” માટે તે રાત્રે યાકૂબ તેની સાથે સૂઈ ગયો.

And Jacob came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and said, Thou must come in unto me; for surely I have hired thee with my son’s mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.
