​แล​้วพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าทรงกระทำให้​อาด​ัมหลับสนิท และเขาได้​หลับสนิท​ ​พระองค์​จึงทรงชักกระดูกซี่โครงอันหนึ่งของเขาออกมา และทรงกระทำให้​เนื้อที่​​ซี่​โครงติ​ดก​ัน

And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
