ఆదికాండం 2:3

దేవుడు ఆ ఏడవ రోజును ఆశీర్వదించి పవిత్రం చేశాడు. ఆయన తాను చేసిన సృష్టి కార్యం అంతటినుంచీ విశ్రాంతి తీసుకున్న కారణంగా ఆ రోజును పవిత్రపరిచాడు.

And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
