ఆదికాండం 28:6

ఇస్సాకు యాకోబును దీవించి, పద్దనరాములో పెళ్ళి చేసుకుని రావడానికి అతణ్ణి అక్కడికి పంపాడనీ అతనిని దీవించినప్పుడు “నువ్వు కనాను దేశపు అమ్మాయిల్లో ఎవరినీ పెళ్ళి చేసుకోవద్దు” అని అతనికి ఆజ్ఞాపించాడనీ ఏశావుకు తెలిసింది.

¶ When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padan-aram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;
