ஆதியாகமம் 28:6

ஈசாக்கு யாக்கோபை ஆசீர்வதித்து, ஒரு பெண்ணைத் திருமணம் செய்ய அவனைப் பதான் அராமுக்கு அனுப்பினதையும், அவனை ஆசீர்வதிக்கும்போது: “நீ கானானியர்களுடைய பெண்களைத் திருமணம் செய்யவேண்டாம் என்று அவனுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டதையும்,

¶ When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padan-aram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;
