เมื่อเอซาวได้ยินคำกล่าวของบิ​ดาก​็ร้องออกมาเสียงดั​งด​้วยความขมขื่น และพู​ดก​ับบิ​ดาว​่า “​โอ​ ​บิ​ดาเจ้าข้า ขออวยพรข้าพเจ้า ขออวยพรข้าพเจ้าด้วยเถิด”
