“એ પાણી અમારું છે” એમ કહેતાં ગેરારના ઘેટાંપાળકો ઇસહાકના ઘેટાંપાળકો સાથે ઝઘડયા અને તેથી તે કૂવાનું નામ ઇસહાકે “એસેક ” રાખ્યું, કેમ કે તેઓ તેની સાથે ઝઘડ્યા હતા.
