ఆదికాండం 25:34

యాకోబు తన దగ్గర ఉన్న రొట్టె, చిక్కుడు కాయల కూర ఏశావుకు ఇచ్చాడు. ఏశావు రొట్టే, కూరా తిని, తాగి అక్కడ నుండి తన దారిన వెళ్లి పోయాడు. ఆ విధంగా ఏశావు తన జ్యేష్ఠత్వపు జన్మ హక్కుని తిరస్కారంగా ఎంచాడు.

Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
