நான் இதை என் இருதயத்தில் சொல்லி முடிப்பதற்குமுன்னே, இதோ, ரெபெக்காள் தன் குடத்தைத் தோள்மேல் வைத்துக்கொண்டு புறப்பட்டுவந்து, கிணற்றில் இறங்கிப்போய்த் தண்ணீர் எடுத்தாள். அப்பொழுது நான்: எனக்குக் குடிக்கத்தரவேண்டும் என்றேன்.
