พระเจ้าทรงสดับเสียงร้องของเด็กนั้น และทูตสวรรค์ของพระเจ้าจึงเรียกฮาการ์จากฟ้าสวรรค์​กล​่าวกับนางว่า “ฮาการ์ ​เจ้​าเป็นอะไรไป อย่ากลัวเลย เพราะว่าพระเจ้าทรงสดับเสียงของเด็ก ​ณ​ ​ที่​​ที่​เขาอยู่นั้นแล้ว

And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.
