ஆதியாகமம் 1:16

தேவன், பகலை ஆளப் பெரிய சுடரும், இரவை ஆளச் சிறிய சுடரும் ஆகிய இரண்டு மகத்தான சுடர்களையும், நட்சத்திரங்களையும் உண்டாக்கினார்.

And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
