ఆదికాండం 17:5

ఇకపైన నీ పేరు అబ్రాము కాదు. నిన్ను అనేక జాతులకు తండ్రిగా నియమిస్తున్నాను కనుక ఇకనుండి నీ పేరు అబ్రాహాము అవుతుంది.

Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
