ഉല്പത്തി 16:2

സാറായി അബ്രാമിനോടു: ഞാൻ പ്രസവിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ യഹോവ എന്റെ ഗർഭം അടെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. എന്റെ ദാസിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നാലും; പക്ഷേ അവളാൽ എനിക്കു മക്കൾ ലഭിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അബ്രാം സാറായിയുടെ വാക്കു അനുസരിച്ചു.

And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.
