ஆபிராம் கானான் தேசத்தில் குடியிருந்தான்; லோத்து அந்த யோர்தானுக்கு அருகிலிருக்கும் சமபூமியிலுள்ள பட்டணங்களில் குடியிருந்து, சோதோமுக்குச் செல்லும் வழியில் கூடாரம் போட்டான்.
