เมื่อยากอบ เคฟาสและยอห์น ​ผู้​​ที่​เขานับถือว่าเป็นหลักได้​เห​็นพระคุณซึ่งประทานแก่ข้าพเจ้าแล้ว ​ก็ได้​จับมือขวาของข้าพเจ้ากับบารนาบัสแสดงว่าเราเป็นเพื่อนร่วมงานกัน ​เพื่อให้​เราไปหาคนต่างชาติ และท่านเหล่านั้นจะไปหาพวกที่ถือพิธี​เข้าสุหนัต​
