Galaterbrevet 2:9

När Jakob, Kefas (Petrus) och Johannes som var kända som (hade ryktet om sig att vara) pelare [i Jerusalems församling] kände (förstod, hade en personlig erfarenhet av) Guds nåd som jag fått ta emot, räckte de mig och Barnabas handen för samarbete. Vi kom överens om att vi [jag och Barnabas] skulle gå till hedningarna och de till de omskurna (judarna).

And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.
