เอสรา 9:2

เพราะเขารับบุตรสาวของชนเหล่านี้เป็นภรรยาของเขาเอง และของบุตรชายของเขา ดังนั้นเชื้อสายบริ​สุทธิ​์​ได้​ปะปนกับชนชาติทั้งหลายของแผ่นดินเหล่านั้น ​นี่​แหละในการละเมิดข้อนี้ มือของเจ้าหน้าที่ชั้นหัวหน้าและผู้ครองเมืองได้​เด่​​นที​่​สุด​”

For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.
