Esra 10:2

Och Shechanja, son till Jechiel, en av Elams söner, svarade och sa till Esra: ”Vi har varit trolösa mot vår Gud (Elohim) och har gift oss med främmande kvinnor från folket i landet. Likväl finns det ändå hopp (hebr. miqveh) för Israel i denna sak. [Messias är Israels hopp om rening och frälsning, se 3 Mos 11:36; Jer 14:8.]

And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of the land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing.
