Poi misurò altri mille cubiti, e quelle acque erano un torrente, il quale io non poteva valicare co' piedi; perciocchè le acque erano cresciute tanto ch'erano acque che conveniva passare a nuoto; un torrente che non si poteva guadare.

Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.
