Så säger Herrarnas Herre (Adonai Jahveh): Säkerligen, i min brinnande nitälskan har jag talat mot resten av folken, och [speciellt] mot Edom – hela det! De har med skadeglädje och med djupaste förakt (själens hån) tagit mitt land (hebr. erets) [Israel] i besittning så att betesmarken har plundrats.
