Du människobarn, säg till ditt folks söner (dina landsmän): Den rättfärdiges rättfärdighet räddar honom inte den dagen då han inte är rättfärdig [gör uppror och lämnar tron], och den ogudaktiges ogudaktighet leder inte till hans fall om han omvänder sig från sin ogudaktighet. Den rättfärdige kan inte leva på sin rättfärdighet om han syndar (och missar målet).
