यहेजकेल 33:12

हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, अपने लोगों से यह कह, जब धर्मी जन अपराध करे तब उसकी धार्मिकता उसे बचा न सकेगी; और दुष्ट की दुष्टता भी जो हो, जब वह उससे फिर जाए, तो उसके कारण वह न गिरेगा; और धर्मी जन जब वह पाप करे, तब अपनी धार्मिकता के कारण जीवित न रहेगा।

Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.
